Abstract
This thesis has investigated the use of an empirical approach to correlate results obtained by sensitivity functions which are based on load flow calculations with transient stability problems. In particular, a class of problems which represent the permanent loss of transmission line is studied. The line admittance is chosen as the parameter of investigation. A correlation is established by computer analysis.
