Abstract

The growth regulating substances having the capacity to act on the plant metabolism have gained extensive use as herbicides in recent years. Large scale use of these growth regulators has festered a multi-million dollar business in the United States of America, particularly in the effective control of weeds. Among many herbicides appearing on the market, comparatively few have been successful in the control or eradication of mocotyledenous plants including grasses.
