Abstract

The exhibit has been enlarged this year to include paintings, prints, and sculpture. This comprehensive collection assures a representative selection if contemporary American Art. This exhibition is co-sponsored by the University Center and the Art Department of the University of Tennessee.


The University Center has provided a purchase fund which will create the nucleus of a permanent collection to be displayed in the Student Center.

Exhibiting artists were: Bill Barrett, Glenn Bradshaw, James. Brooks, Peter Busa, John Chumley, Herb Creecy, Angelo Granata, Marion Greenwood, Ike Hay, Billy Jackson, Doris Kennedy, Harry Krug, Conrad Marca-Relli, James McGarrell, Richard Merkin, L. E. Moll, Francis Noel, Douglas Pickering, Bernard Rosenthal, Ben Smith, J. L. Steig, Hugh Townley, William Walmsley, Thomas Walsh, Hiram Williams, Doris White, and Richard Zoellner.
