Abstract
All the writing in this collection has at least two things in common. Each piece aims at slowing down a given moment so that it may be examined in greater detail than normal experience or reflection would allow. The described events range from the purely imagined to the semi-autobiographical, but every piece reflects the speaker's attempt to come to terms with certain subsets of the world-- namely the past and what he finds himself becoming as he moves towards the future.
