We offer in the pages to follow a consideration of the life and work of the Cuban writer of short stories, Alonso Hernándes-Catá; our effort is the most complete treatment of his work up to this time. In passing we shall give brief consideration also to some of his other writings, and shall try to estimate his capacity as a man of letters.
