Portraits of genetic algorithms

The classical theoretical foundations of Genetic Algorithms are based on the schema theorem. This theorem is an inequality first discussed by Holland in 1975. In 1990, Vose developed the exact schema theorem, replacing the inequality by an equality. This thesis explores some graphical properties of the exact schema theorem by computing its associated fractal.
