Abstract

The Detailer's Assistant Is a prototype expert system designed to recommend Navy personnel assignments. To enable the effective use of the system by Naval personnel, file access, explanation, and user Interface facilities were developed and Incorporated Into the existing system. These facilities were developed by designing software using the languages C and M.1.


The Explanation Network Development System (ENDS) was created to provide a tool to enable the creation and modification of the files used by the explanation facilities.
