Abstract
A linear model was used to compare the pollutant loads from two Knoxville watersheds resulting from two separate and isolated storm events on each basin with data taken from another urban watershed and several stripmined watersheds. The linear model was developed from work done at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The pollutants studied were Fe, Mn, Pb, Zn, Mg, Cd, COD, TOC, and SS. It was found that the age and development of a watershed affects the pollutant load on a watershed. It was also found that changes in the sources of pollutants can be related to changes in pollutant loads on a watershed.
