Abstract

Lately people have been paying more and more attention to the treatment the feedwater recieves before entering the boiler. Reports of the boiler inspectors and insurance companies show that more than half of all boilers inspected by them are affected by burned plates, defective tubes leakage around tubes, leakage at joints, incrustation and scale, internal grooving, and internal corrosion, all of which can be traced to the feedwater. This is quite serious, and deserves the careful attention of all people who may be affected.
