Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to give some figures which will help to determine the evenly of a dual purpose breed and an egg breed. The Barred Plymouth Rook has been selected as the dual purpose breed, and the Single Comb White Leghorn has been selected as the egg breed. These breeds have been selected for comparison, because many farmers in the state of Tennessee are unsettled as to which of these breeds Is most profitable for the small farmer.
