Abstract
In the past, tracking radars were built under some intuitive concepts as to how the system would perform. Little thorough study of system performance in terms of tracking accuracy has been made on a solid mathematical basis. It is the purpose of this thesis to introduce some of the basic techniques for calculating the tracking accuracy of some particular radar system. The system analysis consists of three steps:
(1) Signal analysis
(2) Noise analysis
(3) Tracking accuracy analysis
The results of the system analysis will be discussed and the performance evaluated.
