Saints and Savages: American Religion and the Construction of Victory Culture

This study seeks to highlight cultural trends within American history that suggest a relationship between the religious assumptions of American imperial designs and the construction of racial and sexual imagery as well as the creation of religious narratives to characterize various American conflicts through most of the past two centuries.
