Abstract
(From the Introduction)
The foregoing was a brief review of accelerated interest and concern for intensive study in the field of educational administration, especially in the realm of administrative theory. The purpose of this study was to offer a logical explanation of the process of theory construction in educational administration so that wide differences of opinion regarding administrative theory may be reduced. These controversial issues tend to hamper united efforts for improvement of the profession.
