The Apple Felix pseudo-machine
A cartoon animation "pseudo-machine" language for the Apple II computer is described. It is designed to process numbers and character strings, but the major emphasis is given to commands that manipulate visual objects on a color television screen. This language is designated Apple FELIX. It is patterned after, and shares the same set of core instructions with, the FELIX/8080 language. Thus, it is one manifestation of what is intended to be a general graphics language for a variety of microcomputers. Since extensive documentation already exists on the core instruction set, the emphasis in this report is on the additional instructions introduced in Apple FELIX and the peculiarities of this version of the language as dictated by the environment of the Apple host computer.
