Abstract
This design investigation is based upon the observation that the lack of social, physical, and personal engagement in a building contributes to problems in the contemporary built environment. The vehicle for exploration is the speculative office building because it presently manifests a significant lack of engagement. The building as an entity, the corporate suite within the building, and the individual unit will be reconsidered.
