Abstract

In this thesis we develop a perturbation theory for ordinary differential operators. In the following, the differential operator B will be regarded as a perturbation of a (typically) higher-order differential operator L. For certain classes of operators L, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for B to be L-bounded or L-compact.
