Abstract
In this study, a mathematical model is constructed of single-phase induction generators interacting with an adjacent three-phase distribution system. It is shown that this model is valid for describing the joint operation of an induction generator and distribution system. Model performance is illustrated initially by digital simulation of the distribution system acting alone. Subsequent simulations include the operation of the single-phase induction generator and distribution feeder collectively. These cases are performed with and without mutual coupling between phases of the distribution system. Power system faults and circuit breaker responses are also represented.
