Abstract

There are a variety of both commercial and personal issue cases involving the need for distance detection and safety mechanics. Vehicles are a prime example of this phenomenon, as distance gauging is a vital component of maintaining safety and preventing expensive, hard to repair damages. Regardless of whether the vehicle is autonomous, remote controlled, or directly piloted by a person, the need for range detection and alerting dangerous conditions is apparent, whether it is merely assisting a human pilot or working in tandem with other autonomous systems.
