Abstract
Methods for predicting the capacity of concrete anchors are the ACI- 349 method (ACI, 1985), the X-method (Kappa-method), and the CC- method (Concrete Capacity-method) (Fuchs et al, 1991). These methods are compared to available test results. Based on the comparisons, all three methods are acceptable; however, the ACI-349 method is more accurate and more consistent than the X, and CC-methods.
