Abstract
In the following thesis the writer has attempted to take up, in as logical a manner as possible, short wave radio transmission in general, and short wave radio apparatus in particular, covering the frequencies (wave lengths) assigned amateurs from 3500 kilocycles per second (85.7 meters) to 401000 kilocycles per second (0.7477 meters). Since a license must be secured from the Government before any transmitting can be done, a temporary amateur license was secured bj the writer, and all testing was done using the assigned call letters 4 T J.
