Abstract
This research isolated the reaction ϒρ → N*+ρ0, at I t’ϒρI < 0.15(GeV/c)2, with the N*+ decaying into nπ+. The decay angular distributions and Breit-Wigner resonance distribution for this reaction were examined. Comparisons were made with a similar type reaction, ϒρ → ρ0ρπ+&pi-.
It was determined that the s-channel helicity of the ρ0 is approximately conserved in this reaction and that the π+&pi- mass distribution is skewed in a manner that is consistent with inelastic ρ0 photoproduction.
