Abstract

The general objective of this study was to provide benchmark data for use by the Tennessee dairy industry in making marketing decisions. More specifically these objectives include: (1) To derive density of production for milk, by county, for the State. (a) Fluid milk (b) Manufactured milk (2) To present characteristics of various milk processing and distributing plants. (3) To describe marketing channels for fluid and manufactured milk. (4) To estimate future demand for milk, both fluid and manufactured.
