Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to rrodel analytically a moment resistant end plate connection with anchorage to concrete. This type connection is used abundantly in cable tray, HVAC and miscellaneous pipe supports in nuclear power plants. Of particular importance are deflections and ultimate capacities. The results are obtained using the finite element method. Comparisons are made to experimental data from earlier tests made at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
